Gotta love safety gear

Our dear buddy, Little D, came over to skate yesterday. He fell, landed on & scraped his pad-free knee, very painful. Felt fine enough to go out and skate some more. Next day, really sore knee. X-ray showed fractured knee cap. 2 weeks in a brace with crutches, then 4 more weeks with just crutches. This is just the preliminary diagnosis. This Fridays' orthopedic appointment may garner more knee goodies. To all parents and skate kids... WEAR YOUR SAFETY EQUIPTMENT!!!!!!! Pain sucks all around.
